We're listening

It's extremely important for us to be in close contact with our trainees. We want to know what you're working on, what sort of experiences you're having and what motivates you. In addition to regular feedback meetings with Kathrin Groos, who is responsible for the trainee programs, and direct discussions with specialist departments, we also hold regular feedback evenings with our trainees.
Every three to four months, Kathrin Groos and (Head of General HR) Sven Dietze invite you to a relaxed dinner where we discuss your experiences as well as any issues relating to the trainee program.

Alumni evening

A highlight of the trainee program is our annual alumni evening. This festive dinner brings together various company representatives from HR, former trainees from the past 15 years, a senior colleague from upper management and of course, our trainees.
At this intimate gathering, our current trainees can connect with alumni and managers to exchange ideas, ask questions and benefit from others' experiences.

Gaining international experience

An essential part of our trainee programs is the stay abroad. Around the middle of the program, you'll spend two to three months in an international setting.
The destination is defined by the respective trainee program. At your new destination you'll be allocated to a team within an assignment area, working together and driving projects forward.
Meanwhile, you can rest assured that the organization and costs of your stay abroad are handled by us. We pay for all accommodation and flights so that you can concentrate on getting the most out of your experience.

Development opportunities

As a trainee, your learning and development opportunities are ongoing: Our trainees have the chance to complete valuable training to become Sigma Belts (White Belt, Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt). We also offer a wide range of further training opportunities in the form of e-learning and individual training courses.
As our managers of tomorrow, you'll undergo continuous internal training after you've been employed with us in order to qualify you for management positions.

Finding your place

Our trainee program has been in place for over 15 years and has been wonderfully successful. Our trainees develop a strong bond with Brenntag, which is reflected in our high retention rate.
Trainees who successfully complete the program are offered a permanent role with us. Together with you, we take into consideration your strengths and your long-term professional goals while looking at suitable vacancies.

Networking

During the trainee program, our trainees work in different areas, supervise a wide variety of projects and regularly exchange ideas with our alumni.
This creates an extensive and diverse network that is extremely beneficial both during and after the program.

Our trainee programs

You have the opportunity to join us as a trainee in three different areas: Logistics, finance or across the DACH region. The programs are structured differently in terms of their focus, but all three allow you to get to know the respective specialist area within the 15-month trainee program, work independently on projects and build up your network at Brenntag.
